The Trumpet Studio of Illinois Wesleyan University is comprised of
talented students pursuing degrees in Music Education, Bachelor of Arts, Minor
in Music and those that have been awarded a “Jennings Scholarship”.
Students of the IWU Trumpet Studio perform in the university
ensembles, including Civic Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Jazz
Ensemble, Jazz Lab Ensemble, Brass Chamber Ensembles and the IWU Titan Band.
All university ensembles perform challenging repertoire in concerts and many
IWU events and functions on campus and in the community
The trumpet studio of IWU has a history of high profile
alumni including Armando Ghitalla principal trumpet of the Boston Symphony and Amy McCabe, currently a member if the President’s Own
Marine Band in Washington D.C.
